Hello, I'm
Darby
Photographer
Hi, I'm Darby—the heart behind Darby Layne Photography!
I first picked up a camera during the COVID-19 pandemic, never imagining it would become the career and calling I love so much today. Over the past six years, I've had the honor of documenting seniors, families, couples, weddings, and some of life's most meaningful milestones.
My motto is "Capturing the Goodness of God." I truly believe photography is more than beautiful images—it's preserving the moments where God's faithfulness, love, and goodness are so evident that they deserve to be remembered for generations. Whether it's the joyful tears during a first look, the embrace of loved ones, or the quiet in-between moments, my goal is to tell your story in a way that reflects the beauty of the life God has given you.
My editing style is true-to-color with a light and airy touch, creating timeless images that will never go out of style. More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable, present, and fully yourself in front of my camera. My hope is that years from now, you'll look back at your photographs and remember not only how everything looked, but exactly how it felt.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband, Andrew, loving on our dog, Winston, trying a new recipe, or curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee.
It would truly be an honor to tell your story.
My approach

Every season of life tells a story, and I believe those stories deserve to be preserved with authenticity and intention. Whether I'm documenting your wedding day, celebrating your growing family, or capturing your senior year, my goal is to create a relaxed experience where you can simply be yourself. I'll gently guide you when needed while leaving room for genuine moments to unfold naturally. My hope is to create timeless, true-to-color images with a light and airy feel that not only reflect what your life looked like, but what it felt like—a lasting reminder of the goodness of God found in every season.
